Worcester man arrested for domestic assault

WORCESTER — A local man was arrested late Tuesday night for allegedly assaulting a former partner on Elmore Road, according to the Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to a report of an assault at about 11 p.m. and upon investigation, they determined that Christopher Morse, 48, had caused bodily injury to the victim, whose name has not been released due to the nature of the incident.

Morse, who resides at 19 Maxham Dr. in Worcester, was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

He was processed at the Berlin Barracks and subsequently released with a citation to appear in court at a later date to face the charge.

The Vermont State Police have not provided additional details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.

The case brings attention to the ongoing issue of domestic violence and the resources available for victims seeking help.
