Rochester woman arrested for violating release conditions

ROCHESTER — A local woman was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly violating her conditions of release, according to the Vermont State Police.

Jill Askin, 54, was taken into custody after troopers from the VSP Royalton Barracks received notification of the violation shortly after midnight.

The incident occurred on Main Street in Rochester.

Following her arrest, Askin was processed at the VSP Royalton Barracks.

She was later transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

Askin is scheduled to appear in the Windsor County Superior Court on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to face charges related to the violation of her release conditions.

The specific terms of Askin’s release that were allegedly violated were not disclosed by the authorities.
