Inmate dies at Hillsborough County House of Corrections

MANCHESTER — An inmate at the Hillsborough County House of Correction was pronounced dead after an apparent suicide attempt on Saturday.

Manchester Fire, police, and AMR were called to the facility for a person in cardiac arrest.

According to dispatch reports, the inmate had hung himself and efforts to resuscitate were unsuccessful.

The identity of the deceased has not been made public, but sources confirm that the individual was a 31-year-old male who was awaiting trial on charges from Nashua Police.

Officials at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections have not released any statements regarding the incident.
