POWNAL — A local man was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly assaulting a woman at the Ladd Brook Inn, authorities said.
Vermont State Police responded to a call at about 3:41 p.m. regarding an altercation at the inn.
Cotye Maisonet, 32, of Pownal, is accused of simple assault and disorderly conduct involving 23-year-old Bryonna Prew, also from Pownal.
After an investigation at the scene, troopers took Maisonet into custody.
He was processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks and later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court’s Bennington Criminal Division on March 25 at 8:15 a.m.
The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the incident as the investigation is ongoing.
