HIGHGATE — A Highgate man was arrested late Thursday night on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, Vermont State Police reported.
Noah Bjornson, 23, is accused of assaulting a family or household member in the presence of children.
Police were called to the scene on Brosseau Road around 10:19 p.m. Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to the incident.
After investigating, authorities took Bjornson into custody and he was processed at the St. Albans State Police Barracks.
The name of the victim has not been released, following the policy of the Vermont State Police regarding domestic assault cases.
Bjornson is scheduled to be arraigned at the Vermont Superior Court – Franklin Criminal Division on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
