Driver injured in crash on I-91 in Newbury

NEWBURY — A 70-year-old man from Rocky Point, New York, suffered minor injuries Jan. 23 when his vehicle struck a tree on Interstate 91 North.

Vermont State Police said Patrick Troise was traveling near mile marker 110.2 at 2:01 p.m. when his 2014 Kia Soul veered off the dry road in clear weather conditions.

The car sustained substantial front-end damage.

Troise, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained a minor cut and bruising.

He was transported by EMS to Cottage Hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders, including fire department personnel, arrived quickly on the scene to provide assistance and manage traffic around the accident site.

The incident remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
