CONCORD — A Concord man sustained minor injuries in a rollover crash caused by icy road conditions on Feb. 1.

Vermont State Police reported that at 12:18 p.m., Xavier Parker, 30, from Littleton, New Hampshire, was driving his 2014 Jeep Trail Hawk on Grist Mill Pit Road near the intersection of Shadow Lake Road when he swerved to avoid another vehicle.

The maneuver caused Parker’s Jeep to leave the roadway and overturn, resulting in moderate damage to the roof and hood of the vehicle.

Parker, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, suffered bruising to the sides.

He was transported by Calex ambulance to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) for treatment.

The Concord Fire Department arrived at the scene to assist with traffic control while troopers investigated the incident.

Authorities reminded drivers to use caution on icy roads during the winter months.
