WALTHAM — A two-vehicle collision occurred on US Route 7 near Plank Road on Feb. 1 at about 7:50 a.m., with no reported injuries, according to state troopers.

The incident involved a 2005 Volvo V70 driven by 24-year-old Addison Goodyear of Bristol and a 2018 Honda Clarity operated by 61-year-old Michael Ferland of Enosburg.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Authorities said Goodyear was traveling northbound at around 50 mph when she failed to notice Ferland’s vehicle stopped in traffic due to a prior accident.

The Volvo struck the Honda from behind, causing front-end damage to the Volvo and rear-end damage to the Honda.

Despite the impact, both vehicles came to a stop without further incident, and no medical attention was required for either driver.

The Vergennes Fire Department and Vergennes Area Rescue Squad provided assistance at the scene.

The road conditions were dry and the weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the collision.
