Hudson police arrest two on fentanyl trafficking charges

HUDSON — Two men face multiple drug charges including trafficking fentanyl after being arrested by Hudson Police Department midwatch officers during a routine traffic stop.

Jonathan Feliciano, 35, of Massachusetts, and Rolando Velazquez, 43, of Framingham, were apprehended early Wednesday morning after officers found a significant quantity of fentanyl in their vehicle.

Police Chief Richard DiPersio detailed the charges against Feliciano, which include operating after suspension, marked lane violations, possession with intent to distribute a class A substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Velazquez faces charges of trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a class A substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

The traffic stop, initiated by Officers Nick Girard, Cam O’Toole, and Heather Manning, occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Jan. 30.

The vehicle was later impounded and a search warrant executed, leading to the discovery of the drugs.

Sgt. Sam Leandres and K9 Jocko assisted in the operation.

Following their arrest, Feliciano and Velazquez were arraigned at Marlborough District Court.
