PANTON — A local man was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault after an incident at a Panton residence earlier this month.
Vermont State Police reported that on Jan. 27, troopers responded to a late report of a fight that allegedly took place around 2 a.m. at a home on VT Route 22A.
The investigation concluded that Jason Fuller, 42, of Vergennes, had willfully caused serious bodily injury to a family member.
Fuller voluntarily appeared at the New Haven Barracks on Jan. 29 for processing.
Upon completion, he was taken into custody by the Addison County Sheriff’s Department and brought before a judicial officer at the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
The name of the victim has not been released, in line with Vermont State Police policy on cases involving sexual assault or domestic violence.
Further details about the incident or the condition of the victim were not immediately available.
The case remains under investigation.
