Enosburg man charged with theft of chainsaw from local store

ENOSBURG — Police have cited Joseph Gonyo for retail theft after he admitted to stealing a DeWalt electric chainsaw from Tractor Supply on Jan. 24.

At around 4:12 p.m., authorities were notified of the incident at the store located at 38 Jay View Drive.

The chainsaw was valued at $329.99.

An investigation by Vermont State Police led to a confession by Gonyo two days later.

Gonyo is scheduled to appear in Franklin Superior Court – Criminal Division to face charges for the theft.

The date of his court appearance was not immediately disclosed.
