COLCHESTER — Colchester Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Roosevelt Highway that resulted in the arrest of two individuals wanted on outstanding warrants and the seizure of illegal substances.

Jamie Abair, 34, and Jeffrey Flanagan, 34, both of Saint Albans, were identified as the operator and passenger of the vehicle, respectively.

A check revealed that Abair was sought by the Vermont Parole Board for a parole violation on a no bail arrest warrant, while Flanagan was wanted by the Commonwealth of Virginia on an extraditable warrant related to a drug offense.

Upon taking the suspects into custody, officers discovered both men in possession of illegal substances.

Flanagan was subsequently held on $10,000 bail by a Vermont judge as a fugitive from justice.

Both Abair and Flanagan were lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility in Saint Albans based on their warrants.

In addition to the warrant, Abair received a citation to appear in court for possession of cocaine.

Flanagan was cited for possession of hallucinogens and cocaine.
