Wardsboro man arrested for abuse prevention order violation, criminal threatening

WARDSBORO — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and criminal threatening at his residence on RT 100.

Troopers responded to the incident on Jan. 27 at 7:45 p.m. after receiving a report of the violation.

Upon arrival, they spoke with William Hall, 54, of Wardsboro.

The investigation concluded that Hall had breached the terms of an Abuse Prevention Order and had verbally threatened an individual.

Following the arrest, Hall was taken to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Jan. 29 at 12:30 p.m.

In accordance with their policy, the Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim involved in the incident.
