Woman arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest at St. Johnsbury store

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 30-year-old West Fairlee woman was arrested Thursday evening after refusing to leave the Sunoco Jiffy Mart and resisting state troopers, authorities said.

Vermont State Police received a call at about 5:21 p.m. to the convenience store at 932 Memorial Drive.

Upon arrival, troopers encountered Heather Whipple, who reportedly would not comply with repeated requests to vacate the property.

Officials stated that Whipple actively resisted as troopers attempted to take her into custody, resulting in additional charges.

After being detained, she was brought to the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Whipple is facing charges of Unlawful Trespass and Resisting Arrest.

She has been cited to appear in the Caledonia County Superior Court on March 4 at 8:30 a.m.
