Vermont State Police investigate suspicious death in Bridport

BRIDPORT — Vermont State Police provided an update Friday on the investigation into the suspicious death of a Bridport man found in his home earlier this week.

The body of Stephen Nuciolo Sr., 44, was discovered Wednesday morning inside his Swinton Road residence.

After an initial examination by the Vermont Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington, the death has been deemed suspicious with the cause and manner listed as pending further investigation.

The state police’s Crime Scene Search Team worked overnight at Nuciolo’s home and have since concluded their on-site investigation.

Authorities are now appealing to the public for any potentially relevant information and encourage individuals to contact the state police in New Haven at 802-388-4919.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by various divisions within the state police, signaling the seriousness of the case.
