Two cited for smuggling drugs into Northwest State Correctional Facility

ST. ALBANS — Vermont State Police have cited two individuals for transporting drugs into the Northwest State Correctional Facility after surveillance footage showed an exchange between a visitor and an inmate.

At 9:46 a.m. on Jan. 20, staff at the facility observed Ahshanna Gaudette, 25, of Milton, passing drugs to Damien Delisle, 31, an inmate at the correctional facility.

Delisle was seen attempting to hide the drugs on his person in the common visiting area, amidst other inmates and visitors.

Both Gaudette and Delisle have been charged with the transportation of drugs into a correctional facility.

They are scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 20 in Vermont Superior Court – Franklin County, Criminal Division.

The affidavit of probable cause will be available after the arraignment.
