AUBURN — A 22-year-old Oxford man has been sentenced to 5-7 years in state prison following his arrest by local police for firearm possession.

On Feb. 27, Auburn police officers Anthony Donahue and Alex Myers pulled over a vehicle near Home Depot.

The driver, identified as Kyle Johnson of Federal Hill Road, was discovered to be carrying a firearm.

Johnson, who was on probation for previous firearms offenses, is prohibited from legally owning firearms.

Following the arrest, Johnson faced multiple firearm-related charges.

A Worcester County Grand Jury later indicted him, leading to his recent sentencing.
