SHREWSBURY — A four-vehicle collision resulted in one minor injury on VT Route 103 near the post office early Friday morning as freezing rain created treacherous driving conditions.

Vermont State Police responded to the accident at 8:18 a.m. and found the vehicles blocking the roadway with significant damage.

Marina Czechorowski, 32, of Bellows Falls, was traveling north when she lost control of her 2009 Pontiac G6, veering into the southbound lane and colliding with a 2014 Subaru Outback driven by 40-year-old Matthew Wiskowski of Whitehall, NY.

Henna Chandel, 28, from Keene, NH, was unable to stop her 2014 Toyota Highlander in time, striking Czechorowski’s car from behind.

Tao Jiang, 29, of Amherst, MA, managed to steer his 2022 Hyundai Elantra off the road to avoid hitting Wiskowski’s Subaru.

Czechorowski was treated at Rutland Regional for minor injuries and released.

None of the other drivers reported injuries.

All vehicles involved were towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

The Regional Ambulance Service and Shrewsbury Fire Department provided assistance at the scene.

Otter Creek Towing, Carrara’s Towing, and Executive Towing were responsible for removing the wreckage.

State Police remind drivers to exercise caution and reduce speeds during adverse weather conditions.
