Enosburg man charged with possession of stolen property

ENOSBURG — An Enosburg man was cited for possession of stolen property following a theft at a local Tractor Supply Co.

Perry Harness, 28, was identified as the driver of a vehicle used in the theft of a DeWalt electric chainsaw from the Tractor Supply Co on Jan. 24 at approximately 4 p.m.

An investigation was launched when dispatch received a report of the incident.

Through an anonymous tip received in response to a press release requesting information, police were able to locate Harness.

He admitted to his role as the driver and was aware that the chainsaw was stolen, according to authorities.

Harness also provided the identity of the individual who actually took the chainsaw from the store.

Harness is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court – Franklin Criminal Division on March 26 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charge of Possession of Stolen Property.
