FAIRFAX — A 20-year-old St. Albans man walked away with minor injuries after a rollover crash on VT Route 104 at the intersection with Brick Church Road in heavy fog conditions Thursday afternoon.

Vermont State Police reported that Joseph Nachaczewski was westbound on Brick Church Rd. around 4:39 p.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with VT Route 104.

His 2019 Nissan Rogue crossed both the northbound and southbound lanes before rolling over and landing on its wheels in a field off the southbound shoulder.

Despite heavy front-end and roof damage to the vehicle, Nachaczewski, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, did not require transportation by EMS and sustained only minor injuries if any.

The scene, veiled in medium to heavy fog with wet road conditions, was attended to by the Vermont State Police St. Albans Field Station, with assistance from the Fairfax Fire Department.

Traffic was briefly disrupted as emergency crews worked to clear the incident.

The accident remains under investigation.
