NEWBURY — A burglary at the Town Highway Garage was reported to the Vermont State Police late Thursday night, with an unknown perpetrator breaking in and stealing tools, as well as causing significant damage to the property.
The incident occurred at 7161 Scotch Hollow Rd. around 11 p.m. on Jan. 25.
The suspect, whose age and residence are unknown, forced entry into the garage, belonging to the Town of Newbury, and took several tools.
The damage to the equipment and the facility is currently being assessed.
The Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the burglary.
