WEATHERSFIELD — A New Hampshire man was charged Thursday after allegedly colliding with a Windsor County Sheriff’s cruiser and fleeing the scene on Vermont Route 12 in Weathersfield.

Nathan K. Langner, 43, of Claremont, New Hampshire, is accused of negligent operation and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision, according to authorities.

Deputy Sheriff William Solari, parked off the north side of the road in a marked cruiser, was struck by Langner’s vehicle.

Langner then left the scene but was stopped by Solari a short distance away.

Neither Solari nor Langner was injured in the incident, and both vehicles sustained only minor damage.

An investigation led to probable cause for charging Langner with the criminal violations.

Additionally, Langner was cited for not having liability insurance and received a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint.

Langner was issued a citation and released to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division on March 26.
