MANCHESTER — Early Thursday morning, Manchester Police responded to an alert from the city’s ShotSpotter system, indicating gunfire at the intersection of Blaine and Cleveland Streets.

At around 1:30 a.m., officers discovered several spent bullet casings on the sidewalk outside 183 Blaine St.

Meanwhile, a male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest arrived at Catholic Medical Center, prompting authorities to link his injuries to the earlier shooting report.

Despite the presence of witnesses, police faced challenges as those at the scene were uncooperative and provided minimal information.

Manchester Police have declared the investigation active and ongoing.

Investigators are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
