Woman arrested as fugitive from justice in Bethel

BETHEL — Troopers from the VSP Royalton Barracks arrested a New Hampshire woman on Tuesday evening following a response to a domestic altercation in Bethel.

Hope Schraer, 36, of Enfield, NH, was taken into custody after an investigation revealed she had an active extraditable arrest warrant from New Hampshire.

Authorities responded to the scene on Macintosh Hill Rd at approximately 5:18 p.m.

Schraer was arrested without incident and transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.

She is scheduled to appear in court to face the charges.

The date and time of the court appearance have not been disclosed.

Officials have not released further details about the nature of the warrant or the domestic dispute that led to Schraer’s arrest.
