Methuen police arrest man for shoplifting, discover outstanding warrants

METHUEN — Methuen Police responded to a call of an in-progress shoplifting at a clothing store in the Loop on Tuesday, arresting a 37-year-old male from Lowell, MA, after store security personnel reported he had concealed merchandise in his pants.

Upon arrival, officers were briefed by the store’s security team and proceeded to detain the man, who was later booked on shoplifting charges by the Methuen Police Department.

Further investigation revealed the individual also had three outstanding warrants.

As per standard legal procedure, the suspect’s name is being withheld pending court proceedings.
