Man arrested on fugitive warrant following domestic dispute in Bethel

BETHEL — A local man was arrested Tuesday evening after police responded to a domestic altercation and discovered he was wanted in New Hampshire.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton Barracks were called to a residence on Macintosh Hill Rd at approximately 5:18 p.m. Upon arrival, they investigated the incident involving 38-year-old Allen J. Ballou II from White River Junction.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Ballou had an active extraditable arrest warrant.

He was taken into custody without incident and was later transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

Ballou is scheduled to appear in court to address the fugitive from justice charge.

The date and time of the hearing were not immediately released.

The details of the New Hampshire warrant were not disclosed in the police report.
