Police seek information on snowmobile vandalism at senior center in Poultney

POULTNEY — The Rutland County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in an investigation concerning property damage at the Young at Hearts Senior Center located on 206 Furnace Street.

According to authorities, the incident involved a snowmobile that caused damage to the walking track at the senior center.

The vandalism is believed to have occurred sometime between Jan. 16 and Jan. 22.

Corporal Gregory Ricketts of the Rutland County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation.

The department urges anyone who may have witnessed a snowmobile in the vicinity of Furnace Street during the specified dates, or has any relevant information, to come forward.

Members of the public with any knowledge about the incident are requested to contact Corporal Ricketts at 802-775-8002.

The assistance provided by community members could be crucial in resolving the case and preventing future vandalism.
