Pawtucket man arrested on firearm and drug charges following task force operation

PAWTUCKET — Members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested three individuals Friday morning during a narcotics investigation which culminated in the execution of a court-authorized search warrant.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., Tyreek Duarte, 23, of Pawtucket, was taken into custody and faces charges of possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

Duarte was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, arraigned, and then taken to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.

In another arrest, Miranda Sole, 21, also of Pawtucket, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

Following her arraignment before a Justice of the Peace, Sole was released.

Additionally, Anthony Gomes, 21, of Providence, was arrested on similar charges as Sole, including resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

After being processed at the Lincoln Barracks, Gomes was arraigned and transferred to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.
