Williamstown man faces charges involving child sexual abuse material

WILLIAMSTOWN — Vermont State Police arrested Arick Miller, 35, of Williamstown, on multiple charges related to child sexual exploitation following an investigation that began in July.

According to authorities, the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation received a complaint alleging that Miller possessed child sexual abuse material on his cell phone.

Investigators found explicit images of a juvenile male on the device.

The inquiry further revealed that Miller had attempted to engage in sexual acts with the minor.

Miller was taken into custody and arraigned at the Orange County Superior Court where he faced charges including use of a child in a sexual performance, possession of child sexual abuse material, luring, and voyeurism.

The court ordered Miller to be lodged for lack of $100,000 bail at the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury.

The Vermont State Police has not released any information regarding the victim to protect their identity due to the nature of the crimes.
