EDGARTOWN — Members of the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant Wednesday at a local residence, resulting in two arrests and the confiscation of drugs and cash, authorities said.

The warrant, part of an ongoing drug investigation, was executed at a home located at 27 13th Street North after an Edgartown Police Detective assigned to the task force applied for it.

The search turned up approximately 25 grams of suspected cocaine and around $7,600 in cash, which officials believe is proceeds from drug sales.

Ryan Camacho, 22, of Edgartown, and Bailey Francis, 23, of Oak Bluffs, were both taken into custody on charges of trafficking cocaine in the quantity of 18 to 36 grams.

The Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force continues its efforts to combat drug-related activities in the region.

Further details on the case are pending as the investigation proceeds.
