West Springfield police seek help identifying theft suspect

WEST SPRINGFIELD — Authorities are requesting the public’s help in identifying a man involved in a theft at a local business on Jan. 13 at about 1 p.m.

The West Springfield Police Department released a statement describing the incident, assigned case number 23-839-OF, in which the male suspect, wearing a black parka jacket, fled from police during a vehicular stop attempt.

The man escaped in an older model Toyota Camry, described as brown or black, with an undetermined out-of-state paper license plate.

Detective Azadan is leading the investigation and encourages anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to come forward.

The department emphasizes that informants can remain anonymous if they choose.

The West Springfield Police Department thanks the community for their cooperation and urges anyone with knowledge about the incident to assist in the apprehension of the suspect.
