IRA — A two-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Honda Pilot and a 2019 Honda CRV occurred on Jan. 16 at approximately 4:36 p.m., with no injuries reported at the scene.

According to the Vermont State Police, Mason Wardwell, 44, of Ira, was driving his Honda Pilot east on Pyka Road when he slid onto VT Route 133, directly into the path of a southbound CRV driven by 72-year-old Bruce Gee, also from Ira.

The collision resulted in driver’s side damage to Wardwell’s vehicle and front-end damage to Gee’s CRV.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident and fortunately, neither sustained injuries.

The snowy weather and snow-covered roads contributed to the crash.

Traffic on VT Route 133 was disrupted while emergency crews, including the Vermont State Police, Ira Fire Department, and Regional Ambulance Service, worked to clear the accident site.
