Fair Haven police seek suspect in Liberty Street Market robbery

FAIR HAVEN — A man is wanted for questioning after a robbery at Liberty Street Market on Jan. 17, where an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

At approximately 4:02 p.m., a white male entered the store and demanded the clerk hand over the cash.

The clerk complied, turning over approximately $200.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading south toward the Main Street area and in the direction of River Street.

Authorities described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 230 pounds.

He has a grayish goatee, beard, and mustache.

The man was last seen wearing a black Carhartt-style jacket, a gray hoodie, a black Under Armour ball cap, dark gray or dark-colored pants, and dark-colored shoes.

He did not display a weapon during the incident.

The Fair Haven Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them at 802-265-4531.

Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the suspect’s whereabouts are encouraged to come forward to aid in the investigation.
