Elderly driver escapes injury in Chelsea rollover crash

CHELSEA — Vermont State Police reported an 86-year-old woman was unharmed after her vehicle overturned in a single-car accident on VT Rte 110 near Braman Farm on Jan. 16.

Hannelore Boerner of Washington was traveling in her 2016 Jeep Patriot when she lost control due to snow-covered roads and rolled the vehicle onto its driver side around 2:29 p.m.

Despite the driver side damage to the vehicle, Boerner was wearing her seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.

No hospitalization was required.

The snowfall at the time of the incident contributed to the hazardous driving conditions.

Chelsea Fire Department and First Branch Ambulance assisted the Vermont State Police – Royalton at the scene.

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution while driving during winter weather conditions.
