DUDLEY — A gray enclosed utility trailer was reported stolen from 115 Schofield Ave. on Monday, raising concerns among local residents and prompting a police investigation.

The Dudley Police Department was notified of the theft after the 2022-model trailer went missing.

Surveillance footage captured a suspect’s vehicle entering the lot and later departing with the trailer in tow, heading in the direction of Connecticut.

Authorities noted that the suspect had taken measures to obscure the vehicle’s registration plate with what appears to be electrical tape during the theft.

The stolen trailer has since been entered into the Massachusetts stolen vehicle database.

Dudley Police are now appealing to the public for assistance.

Investigating Officer Ryan Daniels urges anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.

Witnesses or individuals with relevant details are encouraged to contact Officer Daniels at the Dudley Police Department by calling 508-943-4411.
