RUTLAND — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of US Route 7 and Holiday Drive on Monday resulted in non-life-threatening injuries for one driver, state police said.

Marjorie McCullough, 70, of Brandon, was driving her 2022 Subaru Crosstrek southbound on US Route 7 in the passing lane when she attempted to make a right turn onto Holiday Drive, according to authorities.

McCullough failed to yield to Kyle Williamson, 27, of Whitehall, New York, who was traveling in the right lane in his 2005 Subaru Outback, troopers said.

The crash occurred at 4:43 p.m. under clear weather conditions and on dry pavement.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident.

McCullough’s vehicle sustained damage to the rear passenger side, and she was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Williamson did not report any injuries.

Vermont State Police were leaving the Cortina Inn from an unrelated incident when they witnessed the crash.

They were assisted at the scene by members of the Rutland County Sheriff’s Department, Rutland Town Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service, and Howe Center Auto.

The crash remains under investigation.
