Milford police seek public’s help in knifepoint robbery at local store

MILFORD — The Milford Police Department is calling for the public’s assistance following a knifepoint robbery at a local convenience store.

Authorities were alerted to the crime on Jan. 15 at 5:22 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a Portuguese speaking man.

The caller reported that he had been robbed by a Spanish speaking assailant with a dark complexion at USB Connection Services, located at 46 Main St.

The victim described the suspect as wearing a black coat, jeans, and a mask, and said the man threatened him with two knives, attempting to slash him before stealing approximately $200 in cash.

In an effort to gather more information and evidence, the Milford Police Department is urging area residents with home surveillance systems, such as Ring cameras, to come forward.

Any footage or knowledge of the incident may provide critical help in the ongoing investigation.
