Juvenile driver unharmed after crash on I-91 in Barnet

BARNET — A single-vehicle accident on I-91 South near mile marker 122.8 resulted in moderate damage to the car involved, but no injuries were reported, according to the Vermont State Police.

The crash, which occurred at 4:09 p.m. Monday, involved a 2018 Chevy Cruze operated by a juvenile from Barnet.

Authorities said the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the dry road in clear weather conditions, colliding with the guardrail.

The front end of the Chevy sustained moderate damage.

Faufaw’s Towing was called to the scene to remove the vehicle.

The operator, whose name has not been released due to their juvenile status, was wearing a seatbelt and was unharmed in the incident.

Vermont State Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Traffic flow on I-91 South resumed normally following the removal of the vehicle.
