Danville man escapes injury after icy road leads to crash

DANVILLE — A local man escaped injury early Monday morning when his vehicle slid on an icy patch and struck a tree in Danville.

At 8:41 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on County Road near the intersection of Clark Road.

According to the authorities, Adam Kennedy, 50, was operating a 2019 Toyota Tacoma when he lost control due to icy road conditions.

Despite moderate damage to the front end of the vehicle, Kennedy, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, did not sustain any injuries.

The Danville Fire Department also arrived at the scene to assist with the incident.

No other vehicles were involved, and no hospitalization was necessary.

State Police remind drivers to exercise caution and reduce speeds when driving in winter conditions.
