Swanton vehicles hit by string of thefts, police seek information

SWANTON — Vermont State Police in St. Albans are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles that occurred in Highgate, Fairfield, and Swanton between Jan. 11 and Jan. 12.

Scott Wimble, 58, a resident of Swanton, was among the victims of the thefts that took place early Saturday morning.

The incidents were reported to have happened around 5:45 a.m. on Bushey Rd. in Swanton.

Authorities have not released specific details about the items stolen or the number of vehicles affected.

However, the police are urging anyone with information related to these thefts to come forward and assist in the investigation.
