Two arrested by Rhode Island State Police in Providence, Lincoln

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers made two separate arrests following motor vehicle stops, one in Providence and another in Lincoln.

On Jan. 13, at 11:14 p.m., troopers apprehended Roland Morgan, 41, of Woonsocket, after pulling him over on Charles Street.

Morgan faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and driving without a license, marking his fourth or subsequent offense in the latter category.

After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Morgan was detained overnight and awaited arraignment as a probation violator.

In a separate incident on Jan. 14, at 3:30 a.m., Ethan Matos, 22, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was taken into custody on Route 146 in Lincoln.

Matos is charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with an unknown blood alcohol content for the first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Following processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Matos was arraigned and released to a responsible adult.
