Troopers make late-night DUI, warrant arrests in Providence

PROVIDENCE — Two men were arrested on separate charges by Rhode Island State Troopers following traffic stops in the early hours of Friday.

At 12:17 a.m., Joshua R. Blatchford, 34, of Warwick, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test (second offense).

The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Kinsley Avenue.

Blatchford was taken to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a summons to appear in Sixth Division District Court.

Later at 3:13 a.m., Victor Sepulveda, 41, of Woonsocket, was arrested on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for reciprocal body attachment.

This arrest followed a stop on Route 146 South in Lincoln.

Sepulveda was processed at State Police Lincoln Woods, arraigned, and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake.
