Ferrisburgh driver sustains minor injuries in single-vehicle crash on US Route 7

FERRISBURGH — A single-vehicle accident on US Route 7 near Tuppers Crossing resulted in minor injuries for a Colchester man early Monday morning.

Perry Mason, 55, was driving a 2008 Honda Accord northbound when his vehicle veered off the road and struck trees and a rock formation, according to Vermont State Police.

The crash occurred at 8:12 a.m. under clear weather and dry road conditions.

Mason, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to UVM Medical Center with minor injuries.

The car sustained significant contact damage, including to the front bumper, undercarriage, and rear driver’s side.

Traffic on US Route 7 was temporarily narrowed to one lane as emergency services, including the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad and the Ferrisburgh Fire Department, responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
