Richford man arrested following Maplefields smash-and-grab in Enosburg

ENOSBURG — The Vermont State Police have made an arrest in the investigation of a burglary at the Maplefields store on Pearl Street in Enosburg, this morning.

The investigation led to the identification and arrest of Shaun Lagasse from Richford, as the primary suspect responsible for the Maplefields burglary.

Alongside Lagasse, an unnamed juvenile offender was also implicated in the crime.

Lagasse was arrested and is currently being held for lack of $5,000 bail.

The juvenile offender has been released on citation to appear in court at a later date.

During the initial burglary, a vehicle, believed to be a red Ford Escape, was used to ram the front doors of Maplefields, following which a male entered the store and stole various items.
