READING — A single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole on Tyson Road left the driver unscathed despite wintry road conditions early Saturday morning.

Dinghui Li, 29, of Medford, Massachusetts, was traveling on Tyson Road near White Pines Road when her 2021 Mazda CX-5 slid off the icy roadway and struck a utility pole at about 8:49 a.m.

Vermont State Police from the Westminster Barracks responded to the scene to find the front end of the vehicle significantly damaged.

According to authorities, Li was navigating the snow and slush-covered roads, resulting in the loss of vehicle control.

Despite the collision, Li, who was wearing a seatbelt, did not suffer any injuries, and no hospitalization was necessary.

The crash caused damage to both the vehicle and the utility pole.

State police have issued a reminder to motorists to drive cautiously during adverse weather conditions.
