WESTBOROUGH — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle in connection with a house break-in on Mayberry Drive that occurred on Friday at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that the break-in took place while the homeowners were away and believe the residence was specifically targeted.

They reassured the community that there is no indication of an increased risk to the public.

During the investigation, Westborough Police collected multiple pieces of evidence and conducted a neighborhood video canvas.

A short video clip obtained during the canvas features a distinctive vehicle with a bicycle rack on the back carrying what appears to be a child’s bicycle—a notably unusual sight for December.

The police department is urging residents to check their surveillance and dash cameras for any footage captured on Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, particularly those located on the E.

Main Street side of town and along Turnpike Rd, that may feature a clearer image of the suspect vehicle.

Residents who may have captured relevant video footage are encouraged to email it to Detective Jason Croft at [email protected] or contact Westborough Dispatch at 508-475-4800 to speak with an officer.

The Westborough Police Department reminds community members to “see something, say something,” emphasizing the value of public cooperation in maintaining safety and security.
