Onset man arrested for theft of electronics from West Yarmouth facility

WEST YARMOUTH — Yarmouth Police Detectives and UPS Investigators have arrested a man in connection with a series of thefts at a distribution facility, officials said Friday.

John Gray, 48, of Onset, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Yarmouth Police Department for booking.

Gray was later transported to the Barnstable District Court for processing.

According to authorities, Gray is charged with larceny over $1,200.

At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of numerous stolen cell phones and related items.

Police suspect Gray of stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of electronic equipment over the past several months from the West Yarmouth facility.

The investigation is ongoing, and officials stated that additional charges may be filed against Gray as the case develops.
