Hit-and-run incidents in Putney, Dummerston prompt state police search for black Ford truck

PUTNEY — Vermont State Police are seeking public assistance to identify a driver involved in two hit-and-run accidents on Jan. 11.

The crashes occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m., first at 120 Main Street in Putney, followed by a second at the intersection of VT Route 5 and Dummerston Station Road in Dummerston.

Both incidents resulted in damage to public and private property.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a black Ford truck towing a gray enclosed trailer.

Video evidence obtained by the authorities includes a screenshot that captures the vehicle in question.

State police are actively investigating and have requested that anyone with information or additional video footage from the areas of Putney, Dummerston, or Brattleboro come forward.
