Newington police seek help in TD Bank robbery investigation

NEWINGTON — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in their ongoing investigation into a bank robbery that occurred yesterday at the TD Bank on Woodbury Avenue.

At approximately 4:23 p.m., an unidentified white male suspect, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and dressed in dark clothing with a partial mask, threatened bank staff with a knife and stole $1,000 from a teller’s drawer.

Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee with New Hampshire license plates, driving northbound on Woodbury Avenue.

The plate numbers were not clearly identified.

The Newington Police Department, in collaboration with the New Hampshire State Police and the FBI, are actively pursuing leads in the case.

Detective Sean O’Reilly of the Newington Police has urged anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity around the time of the robbery to come forward.
