South Yarmouth man faces new charges after police raid home

SOUTH YARMOUTH — Yarmouth Police Detectives conducted a series of arrests and executed a search warrant at a well-known nuisance residence on Mars Lane Tuesday morning, resulting in new drug charges for a local man.

Kevin Wordell Jr., 33, of South Yarmouth, was apprehended on outstanding warrants related to prior incidents in both Yarmouth and Barnstable.

Following the execution of the search warrant, Wordell now faces additional charges for possession of Class A drugs, identified as fentanyl, according to police officials.

The arrest and subsequent charges were processed at Barnstable District Court later on Tuesday.

The Mars Lane property has been a significant concern for the Yarmouth Police Department, with officers dispatched to the location for various calls 91 times over the past decade.
